Musculoskeletal medicine

Speciliasing in treating joint aches and pain, muscular tension and sporting, postural, work and chronic injuries. Musculoskeletal medicine can have you on the road to being pain free and back to your healthy best.

Acupuncture

Dr Michael Monsour is the only Acupuncture accredited GP in the area. He offers a range of acupuncture services to patients of the clinic.

Women’s Health

Our clinic offers a range of women’s health services including pap smear services to suit your busy schedule and a variety of information on general health for all stages of life including pregnancy and menopause.

Coal Board Medicals

Dr Michael Monsour is a certified practitioner for the Coal Board. We provide coal board medicals through appointments made to suit you. We also offer a range of billing options including to you the patient, or the company requiring the medical.

Mental Health

Our patients are able to access a mental health counsellor 4 days a week. This allows us to adequately meet your mental health needs, either through consults at the clinic or referrals to other mental health professionals.

Skin Checks

Our doctors are happy to perform skin checks and treat or remove any spots of concern.

Pathology

A QML Pathology collection centre is located within the Monsour Clinic for your convenience. QML Pathology upholds a strong commitment to providing medical practitioners premier pathology services, combing advanced technology with highly skilled staff to ensure the best service possible. QML Pathology proudly offer the most comprehensive, efficient and accessible diagnostic  testing to support medical practitioners in patient care. Our friendly staff are available to assist should you have any queries or conerns.

All general tests (including Glucose Tolerance Testing, Urine Drug Screening, Urea Breath Tests, etc.) are performed at the Monsour Clinic. Booking for both Cardia and Blood Pressure Holter Monitoring can be made at this clinic. Please visit our website for any further information www.qml.com.au.

Vaccinations

We offer vaccinations of all types at the clinic. Beginning with your child’s first vaccinations, through to the annual influenza immunization and travel vaccinations. Whilst we keep a stock of infant vaccinations at all times, and have flu injections through the flu season, some other vaccinations will require making an appointment in advance so that we can ensure that we have the necessary immunisations for you, this includes school catch up vaccines which we do not keep in stock.

4 year old Health Checks

Our nurses provide the standard 4 year health checks for all children meeting this criteria. These checks can only be performed from 3 ½ years of age, but ideally you should plan to have this check completed around your child’s 4^th birthday, this allows for their 4 year immunisations to be administered at the same appointment. This check assesses your child’s physical health, general well-being and development with the purpose of initiating medical interventions where appropriate. The check includes the following:

• Height and weight check against milestones
• Eyesight
• Hearing
• Oral health
• Toileting
• Allergies

Medicals

As well as Coal Board Medicals, our doctors can perform a range of medical assessments that may be required. This includes medicals for teenagers joining a defence force cadet program, medical assessments and drug/alcohol screening as pre-employment checks, and medical assessments for both private and commercial driver’s licenses from cars to heavy vehicles.

Nursing Home Visits

Our clinic services patients at all four of the local nursing homes. A doctor will generally visit each nursing home on a daily basis throughout the week, and as necessary on weekends.
