A Coal Board Medical is a requirement for any person currently employed by or applying for a position on a Coal Mine. The requirement is that this medical examination is performed by a certified medical practitioner.
Our Clinic offers two locations for the completion of these medicals – our main clinic at 297 Kent Street Maryborough, and our second clinic at 257 Birdwood Terrace Toowong. Both of our certified Coal Board medical practitioners are available at these sites.
Dr Michael Monsour is a certified coal board AMA and is qualified to sign off on all of the required medical paperwork for people meeting the expectations for coal mine workers.
Dr Dianne Monsour is a certified coal board EMO and currently works predominantly out of our Toowong Clinic.

The courses they offer are as follows:
Standard 11 – (entry onto a coal mine site open cut or underground) 2 day course. I will offer a very special price so the candidate can have their Coal Board Medical, ($350.00 + GST with the Standard 11 $600.00 + GST).
S1 S2 S3 – supervisors course on a mine site. This course is also a 2 day course. The fee is $700.00 + GST. Minimum 2 per class.
Working @ Heights – $260.00 + GST per student. 1 day course. No minimum if the candidate completes their Coal Board Medical and S11.
Enter and Work in Confined Spaces – same as Working @ Heights criteria.
Issue Work Permits – same as above criteria.
First Aid – minimum 5 per class $120.00 + GST per student. One day course
CPR Refreshers – minimum 5 per class $75.00 + GST per student. 2.5 hour course
EWP under 11m – $260.00 + GST per student. One day course. Minimum 3 students per class. Can be amalgamated with Working @ Heights, (must have Working @ Heights when operating EWP) – special price $450.00 + GST. 1.5 day course.
